Climbing Your Ladder To Fitness: Won’t the Rewards Be Great!

Obesity is becoming an epidemic. It has become such a problem in some countries that the statistics of diseases that are related to weight gain such as heart disease, stroke and other such diseases, are pretty scary. Whatever happened to fitness?

So what’s the answer to this problem? It’s been drilled into our heads time and time again that we need to have a healthy diet, eat properly, exercise and this will be our path to fitness. So how come the majority of us are not following that path.

Fitness is as much a frame of mind as it is a healthy body. Without having a mind that is fit enough to handle the truth about obesity, the light bulb will always be off. People in general just don’t care, or at least that’s what they make people believe to be true, so that they won’t have to face losing weight. It’s too hard for them to handle, so they tell people they are O.K. being overweight.

Is that you…I know it was me for the longest time. I gave up on myself and I wasn’t being true to myself for so many years. Nobody really wants to be overweight. What are the benefits to holding on to all that fat…get rid of fat!

Unless you have a health reason that is preventing you from losing weight, you should be able to add a level of fitness into your daily plan. A sedentary lifestyle will just make it that much more difficult for you to follow a fitness plan, once the doctor has told you to lose weight for your health.

Fitness can be as simple as dancing to a few tunes, riding a bike, walking on a nice day, even shopping. Spend a few days a week at the mall window shopping if that’s how you prefer to get your exercise. Be sure to take a few healthy snacks and a bottle of water with you though, so you can boost your energy levels when needed.

Your best bet is to slowly work your way up the fitness ladder…don’t leave getting fit to chance because it will never happen unless you make the effort. You’ll regret that you spent a good portion of your life being overweight and being unhappy about it. Do it now!
